Speaker Bio:

Following his education in the UK in Biomedical Sciences and Medical Sciences, YP has had 6 years experience in the F&B market which includes entrepreneurship in the end product market as well as sales in the ingredients supply market. He is currently Director of International Sales for QHT and looks after the development of the company’s global business. His specialties include market analysis, sales models and team management particularly in the field of prebiotic fibers.

“Trends and Applications of Prebiotic Fibres in Food and Beverage” by YP Tan – Director of International Sales for Quantum Hitech Biological Co Ltd (QHT)
The presentation is intended to provide an overview of QHT, their range of oligosaccharides, the role prebiotics can have in health and wellness products along with the benefits they can provide to healthier eating.
It’s core focus will be on the benefits the addition of FructoOligoSaccharide(FOS) and GalactoOligoSaccharide(GOS) can have in products including fibre addition, sugar reduction, calorie reduction and promotion of gut health.
The presentation we will look at the application area’s of Chocolate syrups, soft candy confectionary and beverages particularly flavoured mineral water and in particular the performance of these ingredients in low pH products.
