Bruce has over 25 years’ experience in the IT industry and over 20 years’ in ERP and associated systems. Since joining KPIT over three years he has been involved in a number of sales campaigns and implementation engagements. Bruce’s domain expertise centers on MDM, ERP, CRM, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Distribution and has experience in a wide range of industries including Food & Beverage, Pharmaceuticals and Industrial Manufacturing.

Ideation to Commercialisation in the Cloud

Presentation Synopsis:

CPG companies are increasingly focused to achieve competitive advantage through localization and high differentiation in their product offering and quicker time to market. While product development has been a familiar ground, the innovation management and rapid commercialization are new concepts that the leaders are adopting rapidly.

This session will discuss how companies are managing innovation as a business to ensure that the return from innovation is maximised. It will also discuss, at length, the adoption of Product Hub cloud by a CPG company and a supplier of branded soft drinks. This CPG company’s major challenge is that their drinks information data is split across disparate systems, databases and spreadsheets for recipes and packaging information. They found it difficult to retrieve and make sense of the data from the various systems as information was disconnected, making it difficult to maintain data across all systems and in different territories. The problem was further hindered by no real governance in place for new product introductions with the ensuring change management challenges.
